چکیده

In recent years, the need for generation mixes that consider inertial constraints in unit commitment (UC) has increased because inertia of these systems decreased with use renewable energy. circumstances, single-machine models can calculate minimum frequency and rate change (RoCoF) at a high speed terms characteristics changes mix, order to identify satisfy constraints. This study proposed methods determine parameters reduced response (RFR) model, which is model considers nonlinearity caused by restrictions on generator’s output power, apply UC. The RFR include various forms governor nonlinear power according scales contingencies, system inertia, load through parameters. From simulations real systems, it was observed determined achieved considerable accuracy calculating RoCoF model.

Single Machine Scheduling Problem with Precedence Constraints and Deteriorating Jobs

This paper considers the single machine scheduling problem with precedence constraints and deteriorating jobs. A mathematical model based on binary integer programming (BIP) is developed. By these precedence constraints, jobs can not start before completion of its all predecessors. The represented model is in two steps, in step one the earliest starting time of each job is computed, then the re...

Observability in Inertial Parameter Identification

We present an algorithm to characterize the space of identifiable inertial parameters in system identification of an articulated robot. This problem has been considered in the literature for decades; however, existing methods suffer from common drawbacks. Methods either rely on symbolic techniques that do not scale, or rely on numerical techniques that are sensitive to the choice of an input mo...

Solving Nonlinear Single-Unit Commitment Problems with Ramping Constraints

We present a dynamic programming algorithm for solving the single-unit commitment (1UC) problem with ramping constraints and arbitrary convex cost functions. The algorithm is based on a new approach for efficiently solving the single-unit economic dispatch (ED) problem with ramping constraints and arbitrary convex cost functions, improving on previously known ones that were limited to piecewise...

Development of an Inertial Measurement Unit for Unmanned Aerial Vehicles Dynamics Model Parameter Estimation

Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) are being deployed in a vast variety of military, civilian, industrial and agricultural applications. Dynamics modeling is an essential step towards designing autonomous controllers for UAV systems. The dynamics modeling on the other hand requires accurate records of the UAVs motion states during real flight tests. This is usually achieved using Inertial Measurem...
